Mission teams in north Lincoln Aug. 2-8
August 2–8, two churches from Springfield, Mo., will send members to Lincoln to work alongside members of Community Harvest in a week of service to the northeast Lincoln community. During the visit the teams will go door to door meeting local residents both to survey them about community needs and church interest and to offer assistance through service projects.
The teams also will “prayer walk” through north Lincoln neighborhoods and perform service projects, possibly answering needs learned about through the door-to-door visits. Some service projects will be completed by Community Harvest Church after the Missouri teams return to their home churches.
Golden Avenue Baptist Church from Springfield, Mo., sent a team to Lincoln last summer and is repeating the trip this year. The team will bring with them members of Republic (Mo.) First Baptist.
Community Harvest lead pastor Mark Jones is always interested in learning about community needs. He has invited community members to visit with him about needs they are aware of that could be answered by a visiting mission team or Community Harvest Church.
